Orange County Association for Vietnamese Mental Health Awareness and Support (OCAVMHAS) is a non-profit organization founded in 2007 through the Mental Health Services Act.  Its primary purpose is to foster love and support for Vietnamese mental health patients by providing educational services and activities to their friends and families.

 

Our mission is to provide a bridge between the local Vietnamese community and the Health Care Agency through the Mental Health Service Act.  Our Association offers a plan to meet, allows for the exchange of knowledge, as well as provides support and guidance for patients, family members and friends on how to work with Vietnamese patients.  We try to provide multiple services to:

 

1. Eliminate stigma and focus on improving self-esteem

2. Educate for prevention and early intervention

3. Collaborate with other agencies and organizations throughout Orange County
